How our process works on area rugs
Our carbonated cleaning solution is the key difference from steam cleaning or shampoo methods. The carbonation produces millions of tiny bubbles that lift dirt and allergens to the surface for extraction, without flooding the rug with water that soaks through the backing and takes days to dry.
This matters because a soaked rug sitting on hardwood can damage the wood underneath. A soaked rug on tile can wick moisture through the grout. Our method keeps the floor underneath dry, the rug backing dry, and the fibers clean.
Rug fibers we work with
Wool. The most common fiber in quality area rugs. Wool resists soil well, holds dye reliably, and bounces back from foot traffic. Our pH-neutral solution is designed specifically for wool — it cleans without stripping the natural lanolin or causing the fiber to felt.
Silk. Strong when dry, fragile when wet. We use a lighter touch on silk, test colorfastness in a hidden area, and adjust our moisture level down. Some silk rugs are better off at a specialist facility, and we'll tell you if yours is one of them.
Nylon. Durable, common in mid-range rugs. Cleans up predictably. Stains usually respond on the first pass.

The 6-step cleaning process
